Screen Guide - Built-in Training

Every entry screen now has a Guide button (gold, next to + Add). It teaches a new user how to use the screen, without any outside help, and lets an experienced user see exactly how the screen works.

Open the guide

Open any entry screen (for example Sale Bill) and click Guide. A panel opens on the right (full screen on a phone).

The first time a screen's guide is opened, it may show "The guide for this screen is being prepared". It is ready in a few minutes and the panel refreshes by itself.

What is inside

Tab What it shows
Start What the screen is for, where it sits in the work flow (for example Sales Order โ†’ Sale Challan โ†’ Sale Bill), the steps to make a new entry, tips for the list and common mistakes.
Fields A card for every field and every item-row column: what to enter, what fills in by itself, what the pick-list shows and what is checked on save. Search a field by name or filter Header / Item rows / Required.
How it works The rules of the screen: checks before save, pending lists (which entries are offered and why), formulas, what happens after save and the accounting entries.
FAQ Answers to the questions users most often ask about this screen.

Switch on Deep insight to see the full rule behind any field, pending list or formula - for example exactly which challans are offered in a Sale Bill and how the balance is worked out.

Guided tours

  • Tour of the list - walks through the toolbar, filter row, row icons, right-click menu, reports, paging and export.
  • Tour of the entry form - opens the add screen and walks through every field in order, then the item rows and the Save button.

Use Next / Back or the โ† โ†’ arrow keys. Press Esc to stop.

Help on every field

On the add screen, every field caption has a small ? icon. Click it to see a short card about that field. More detail opens the full card in the Fields tab.

Language and voice

  • EN / เคนเคฟ switches the guide between English and Hindi.
  • The speaker button reads the tour steps aloud.

Ask AI

Still unsure? Click Ask AI in the Start tab to ask any question about the screen in your own words.

Standard ERP screens

The Guide button also works on the screens that every company uses in the same way:

  • Masters: Accounts Master, Account Groups, Account Types, Agents, Transport, TDS, Cost Centre, Schedules, City, State, Branch, Cheque Stock, General Items.
  • Vouchers: Journal, Single Journal, Cash Receipts, Cash Payments, Bank Receipts, Bank Payments, Debit Note, Credit Note, Petty Cash, PDC.
  • Payroll, assets and CRM: Employee Master, Attendance, Pay Master, Loans, Extra Pay, Holidays, Assets, Leads and Tickets.

On the Cash and Bank screens, Receipts and Payments each have their own guide, so the steps and the accounting explained always match the side you opened.

If your company has its own customised version of a screen, the Guide explains your version instead.

If the entry form does not open when you start the entry-form tour, the Guide tells you so. Read the message shown on the screen (for example a setting missing in the Company Master), fix it, and try again.
