Project Overview & Flowchart

Every project now has a Project Overview & Flowchart page. It shows how your ERP is put together: which modules you have, which screens are in each, and how one document leads to the next. Use it to train new staff, or to show your ERP to someone in a demo.

Open it

Go to Utility → Project Overview & Flowchart. Administrators see it straight away. To let other users open it, give their group the projmap right under Manage Users → Group Roles/ Permissions.

It is always up to date

You never need to refresh it. When a screen, field, menu, report or posting is added or changed, the page notices within about 20 seconds and redraws itself. A short message tells you when this happens.

The written summary ("What this ERP does") is rewritten automatically about a minute after a change.

The four tabs

  • Overview: counts (modules, entry screens, masters, document links, screens that post to accounts, reports), a plain-language summary of what the ERP does, the life of an order step by step, demo talking points, and one card per module.
  • Flowchart: the document flow, grouped by module.
    • A solid arrow means the next document is made from this one (for example Purchase Order → Purchase Challan).
    • A dashed gold arrow means the next document is created automatically or by a button.
    • Gold boxes post to accounts and connect to Accounts & Ledgers.
    • Tap any box to open that screen.
    • Use the module pills to show or hide modules, and All to show every module. Large projects open with their three busiest modules.
    • Optional switches: Accounts posting, Stock / balance checks, Masters used, Screens without links.
    • Direction turns the chart sideways. −, Fit and + zoom. Download saves the chart as an image.
  • Modules & Screens: every screen with its type, the masters it uses, the screens it comes from and goes to, and its reports. Use the search box to find anything.
  • Reports: the project's own reports, grouped as they are in the menu.

For demos

  • Present switches to full screen. Press Esc to leave.
  • Print prints the page or saves it as a PDF.
  • Night / Day switches the colour theme. Your choice is remembered.

The page only ever shows the project you are logged in to.
