Read-only Values in Blue

In entry screens, fields that cannot be changed (calculated amounts, locked fields, and every field in View entry) normally show their values in the same colour as editable fields. If you want these values to stand out, turn on Read-only Values in Blue.

How to turn it on or off

  1. Open the Utility menu.
  2. Click Read-only Values in Blue.
  3. A small window tells you whether the option is currently ON or OFF for you.
  4. Click Turn On to switch it on, or Turn Off to switch it off. Click Close to leave it as it is.

The change applies straight away to the entry screen you open next.

What changes

  • Add / Edit entry: the values of locked (disabled / read-only) fields are shown in bold blue. Fields you can type into keep their normal colour, so you can quickly see what you can and cannot change.
  • View entry: all field values are shown in bold blue, like the classic View screen.
  • Night mode: a lighter blue is used so the values stay easy to read on the dark background.

Good to know

  • The setting is personal. It applies only to your login, on every computer and phone you sign in from. Other users are not affected.
  • It is OFF by default.
  • If you do not see the option in the Utility menu, log out and log in again once.
  • Nothing about the entry itself changes. This only affects how the screen looks.
