📘 Overview

The Balance Transfer feature in Merciglobal Cloud ERP, accessible via the Utilities Menu, is critical for managing year-end transitions. It enables authorized users to securely and efficiently roll over financial and operational data to the next fiscal year.

📦 What Can Be Transferred?

Here’s what gets seamlessly carried forward:

  • 🗂️ Masters: Full transfer of master data — customers, vendors, items, etc.
  • 💸 Outstanding Receipts & Payments: Includes any pending financial transactions.
  • 📈 Balance Sheet Data: Migrates into Opening Balances for the new year.
  • 🧾 Un-reconciled Cheques: Carries forward un-reconciled cheques for future reconciliation.
  • 🏦 Post Dated Cheques (PDC): Ensures all PDCs are available in the new year.

🧠 Smart Update Capability

⚠️ Re-running the Balance Transfer in the same financial year only updates new changes. It preserves previously transferred data, enabling safe and incremental updates.

🔍 Where to Access Transferred Data

After completing the Balance Transfer, the data can be reviewed in the following locations:

  • 🧾 Un-reconciled Cheques:

Option Masters → Misc. Masters → Op. Unreconciled Cheques

- 💳 **Outstanding Receipts & Payments**:

Transactions → Op. Receipts / Op. Payments

- 📊 **Balance Sheet Data**:

Opening Balances in A/c Master or A/c Master → Op. Balances

- 🏦 **PDC Cheques**:

Transactions → Accounting → PDC
