Search Functionality Guide

In Merciglobal Cloud ERP, users can efficiently filter data within Entry Modules and Reports by leveraging flexible search expressions. These expressions are entered directly into the top row of the data grid (highlighted with a pale yellow background).

Search Types & Syntax

🔢 Type of Search 📝 Syntax 🔍 Description 📌 Example Matches
Any Value RAM Finds rows where the column contains the value anywhere. To search blank values, leave the input blank or insert a space. Siyaram, Radheshyam, Ramayan
Greater Than or Equal >= value Filters rows where the column value is greater than or equal to the input. >=100 → matches 100, 105
Less Than or Equal <= value Filters rows where the column value is less than or equal to the input. <=75 → matches 75, 70
Less Than < value Filters rows where the column value is strictly less than the input. <80 → matches 79, 60

Tips for Effective Searching

  • Use partial keywords to match any part of the text.
  • Numeric comparisons (>=, <=, <, >) work best on numeric fields.
  • Combine searches across multiple columns for refined filtering.
  • Leave the input cell blank to search for empty or null values.
