Account Grouping in Merciglobal Cloud ERP
Overview
In daily business operations, it is common to have multiple customer or supplier accounts representing the same organization but under different names. To streamline such cases, Merciglobal Cloud ERP offers the Account Group Master (A/C Group Master) functionality. This enables logical grouping of accounts, which is particularly beneficial for:
- Generating consolidated financial reports
- Analyzing total outstanding balances
- Simplifying account reconciliation processes
What is an Account Group?
An Account Group in Merciglobal Cloud ERP is a master record that links multiple customer or supplier accounts under a single group identifier. This facilitates:
- Tracking dues and balances for an organization holistically
- Running detailed customer/supplier reports at the group level
- Making informed decisions for sales, procurement, or collections
How It Works
1. Create an Account Group
- Navigate to:
Masters > A/C Group Master
- Click "New" and enter a Group Name (e.g., "ABC Group")
- Save the group record
2. Assign Accounts to the Group
- Open each Customer or Supplier Master to be included
- Set the A/C Group Master field to the desired group name (e.g., "ABC Group")
- Save the updated account
The system will now recognize these accounts as part of the same group for reporting purposes.

By creating an account group named "ABC Group" and linking both accounts to it:
